traditional end-of-pipe design concepts whilst generating
significant economic and environmental benefit.
The case studies presented below are based on our work in
South Africa at two large steel works. However the principles
are common throughout our work and can be applied at much
smaller facilities.
Achievements include zero effluent discharge realisation,
low cost storm water management systems, plant re-arrangement
to significantly improve discharge compliance criteria and
reduced overall effluent treatment costs.
